Experimenting with the process of bend lamination process I fabricated a leg with a bidirectional bend of 90° and 45°.

During this process of trial and error I experienced by firsthand how wood behave under the pressure of bidirectional bending. Additionally, for making the molds for the bent lamination, a deep understanding of bidirectional bent geometries was necessary.

In the beginning, the goal was to fabricate a bench, but the flexibility of the  legs when supporting the weight of a sitting person redirected the function of the project to a sofa table.
